We had an interesting requirement to authenticate IoT devices by our cloud service for managing those devices, provisioning them, rotate keys, etc. Though we were using AWS for our infrastructural requirements, we chose to manage the devices ourselves as per the client requirements. AWS IoT is powerful and comprehensive. It can do provisioning, rotating keys and alerting on events, etc. But we went ahead and built our customized solutions.
